Default We good cooks need our EXERCISE too!

So ... I'm off for my workout. What do you all do for your exercise. I did nothing until about a month ago and my heart attack has sort of changed my attitude toward exercise! Go figure! I'll see y'all in a bit!

To be honest I don't do much, I mean I move around a good bit but nothing deemed as "exercise"

I don't do much, either. Maybe we should do the same thing Mike does! If it's good enough for a guy who had a heart attack, we should be able to do it!

I do feel better after exercising. I know it's hard to get into the routine of doing it, but the benefits are so great that it's worth the effort. 30 minutes a day is enough to get that heart pumping. We can all afford that much time.

Exercise is so like work, isn't it? But they both pay!

Boy... I've had a hard time getting motivated for exercise in the last week and a half...
But I got back on that horse (treadmill) today!!!
30 minutes interval training... 400 calories...
Maybe tomorrow I'll include some weights.... you definitely feel better after a work-out!

A lot of you folks know that DH and I quit smoking a couple of months ago. We are on the Atkins maintenance after losing a lot of weight a couple of years ago. Well, we quit smoking and both gained weight! DH 8 lbs, me 6. Freaking out, I called the doctor who said it's normal, slowing of metabolism from quitting smoking.

So, we bought a treadmill last week and are both diligently working our way up in minutes!

this is the best time to do it though...when it's only 8 & 6 pounds as opposed to 50!
