Tonight we went out for dinner and I got to wear a pair of slacks one size smaller than the ones I wore yesterday! And they weren't tight!
That's how I have to measure weight loss as we don't have a scale. I also can't count calories, although when I needed to lower my cholesterol I could have told you how many calories were in a gram of fat, protein, carbohydrates and alcohol!
This has been a very slow gradual weight loss caused by a reduction in intake. But that reduction has been gradual as well. Today I probably eat half of what I was eating a year ago. But a year ago I was clearly overeating. As soon as I could convince myself that it was okay if I didn't clean my plate, I started making real progress. And it seemed that the less I ate at each meal, the less I wanted.
And I can still enjoy good food of all types, just not a lot of it.
Good luck everyone, may all your plans pay off!
Susan
